When Do You Need MOT?
• First MOT is due 3 years after first registration
• Then annually every year after
• You can test up to 1 month before expiry and keep the same renewal date

⚠️ With an expired MOT, you can only ride to a pre-booked MOT centre or for repairs. Any other use is illegal.
Cost
💷 Maximum MOT fees:
• Motorcycle (up to and over 200cc): £29.65
• Motorcycle with sidecar: £37.80

What Gets Checked?

🔹 Tyre tread depth: Over 50cc motorcycles require minimum 1.0mm over a continuous band covering at least ¾ of tread width around the full circumference.
